The task we were set is to film and produce a 2 minute clip of an actor walking into a rom and telling another actor a 'knock knock' joke.

The first shot is an exterior shot following the actor into the building. This person gets a text from actor 2. There is a point of view shot of the text on the phone. The point of view shot continues into the building and past the doors. Then there is match on action as there are mid shots of actor one going upstairs. After that there is a tracking shot walking alongside actor 1 going up to the door then he puts his hand on the door handle. The camera cuts to him walking in the room. Actor 1 sits down across the table from actor 2 and there is a series of shot/reverse shots as they exchange dialogue.

Continuity task involving filming and editing a character opening a door, crossing a room and sitting down in a chair opposite another character, with whom she/he then exchanges a couple of lines of dialogue. This task should demonstrate match on action, shot/reverse shot, and the 180 degree rule.

Filming - Shooting a scene on a video recorder

Me as a consumer of the media

As a teenager I use all forms of the media which includes TV, music and the internet. To
watch TV I can use things like Netflix and Lovefilm. To listen to music I can use my iPod.
And on the internet I can use BBC iplayer.

I listen to music the most. I use my iPod mostly to do this, and also YouTube. My favourite song to listen to is One Night by Matthew Koma.


I also watch a lot of films and TV. My favourite TV show is Breaking Bad.
