The task we were set is to film and produce a 2 minute clip of an actor walking into a rom and telling another actor a 'knock knock' joke.
The first shot is an exterior shot following the actor into the building. This person gets a text from actor 2. There is a point of view shot of the text on the phone. The point of view shot continues into the building and past the doors. Then there is match on action as there are mid shots of actor one going upstairs. After that there is a tracking shot walking alongside actor 1 going up to the door then he puts his hand on the door handle. The camera cuts to him walking in the room. Actor 1 sits down across the table from actor 2 and there is a series of shot/reverse shots as they exchange dialogue.
You have made a good start to the course and I am pleased with the evidence of work that has been posted onto your blog. You have shown that you are able to complete all of the basic tasks necessary to make your blog appealing and informative for your target audience - the OCR moderator.
ReplyDeleteYou are missing evidence of the photographs of your storyboard panels and need to publish these to your blog.
As we move forwards I would now like you to try to develop the following 2 step approach to all posts whenever possible:
Describe the task that you have completed (in detail if you want a level 4 mark)
Explain what you have learnt from completing this task (again, detail is required for level 4)
The necessary third step is not something that can be detailed in your posts but it is an important one. It is vital that you apply the learning to ensure that you produce coursework of a big standard.
So. Move from describe, to explain to apply.

ReplyDeletePlease complete all tasks that I set. Your target grade is a C and, to achieve this, your blog needs to be a complete and proficient evidence base of the work done in class and at home. At present, yours isn't :(
I think that using a storyboard is a great way to plan a video. It keeps everything in order and tidy. It is also easier for the camera man and the rest of the team keep track of what they have done, and what they have to do next.
ReplyDeleteWhen it comes to editing it will, again, make life a whole lot easier. The storyboard will help then recognise in which order the clips have to go in.
Overall i think that using a storyboard to plan is a very efficient method to use.
